Hoh Rain Forest, Olympic National Park

This forest has been in existence for over 5,000 years. The epiphytes grow on the trees but use them only for support, drawing all water and nutrients from the air.

Spruce Railroad Trail

This trail was made on the bed of the Spruce Railroad and features two tunnels. This was the first.

The tunnel entrances have been stabilized with rocks and chain link fencing. This photo is of an area just above the timbers framing the tunnel entrance.
